Durex - Canopy

A speculative and conceptual product and campaign for Durex.

This is an initiative to raise awareness about two increasing issues for young people in Brazil, and the rest of the world.

With 74% of Brazilians recognising deforestation as a serious issue and the country ranking fifth globally in terms of STD prevalence, the urgency to address these challenges is undeniable.

Our response?

With Durex Canopy, our biodegradable condom featuring an embedded seed within its packaging, we aim to bridge the gap between these pressing issues. By offering a sustainable solution that not only provides protection but also contributes to reforestation efforts, we empower individuals to make environmentally conscious choices while addressing their sexual health needs.

Design Functionality

Durex Canopy condoms prioritise environmental sustainability by incorporating biodegradable materials and embedding golden trumpet tree seeds in the packaging.

Why a Golden Trumpet tree seed? Because they're native to Brazil and perfect for reforestation, known for improving soil quality and rapid growth.

Materials: Durex Canopy Vegan Condoms utilize non-GMO natural rubber latex and thistle extract, steering clear of the milk protein casein commonly found in many latex condoms. They don't include animal by-products, casein, talc, parabens, or spermicides.
